Public Consultation No. 2

Sligo County Council, through Sligo Regional Design Office, are in the early stages of planning the N4 Active Travel Collooney to Castlebaldwin Scheme.

The overarching objective of this Scheme, which is funded by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), is to provide continuous pedestrian and cycle (i.e. Active Travel) facilities from Collooney to Castlebaldwin that will improve safety and accessibility for all. It is envisaged that the Scheme will integrate with the wider Active Travel network including the Sligo Greenway, the SLNCR Greenway and existing facilities from Toberbride Business Park to Doorly Td,
improving local and regional connectivity.

DBFL Consulting Engineers have been appointed by Sligo County Council to provide multi-disciplinary engineering and other specialist services to progress this Scheme through Phase 2 to 4 (Options Selection to Statutory Processes) of TII’s Project Management Guidelines.
