NOTICE UNDER THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS 2001, PART 8 (ARTICLE 81) (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the Council proposes to carry out works consisting of:

The construction of 31 no. one, two and three storey dwellings comprising of 8 one-bedroom apartments, 4 two-bedroom apartments, 9 two-bedroom houses, 7 three-bedroom houses, 1 four-bedroom house and 2 five-bedroom houses together with all associated site works, including site access, new site boundaries, drainage, associated earthworks, roadworks, Public Open Space, new utilities and services connections and car parking. All associated landscaping works are included.

The site is located at Owenmore Crescent (Corrán na hAbhann), Collooney Townland, Collooney, Co. Sligo.

Sligo County Council, as the competent authority, has carried out an Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening Report and has determined that a Stage 2 Appropriate Assessment is not required in respect of this proposed development.

Sligo County Council has carried out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Screening and has determined that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and has determined that an EIAR is not required in respect of this proposed development.

Plans and full particulars of the proposed development are available for inspection, or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, online at consult.sligococo.ie or, during office hours at the Main Foyer, County Hall, Riverside, Sligo, from Wednesday 16th April to Thursday 15th May 2025 (both dates inclusive).

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made on-line by registering on the consult.sligococo.ie portal or in writing and submitted to the undersigned not later than 4.pm on Thursday 29th May 2025

All submissions (including the names of those making submissions) received in relation to this consultation will be published on the consult.sligococo.ie portal and will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented at a meeting of the elected members. Accordingly, they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain.
