County Sligo Heritage Plan 2023 - 2027
Pre-Draft Public Consultation
8th – 31st March 2023
The County Sligo Heritage Forum, facilitated by the Heritage Office, Sligo County Council is preparing a new County Heritage Plan for Sligo and is seeking your support and assistance in identifying the key priorities and opportunities for Sligo’s heritage over the next five years.
County Sligo Heritage Forum is a heritage partnership between local government, state agencies, development agencies, farming organisations, education and training agencies and the community & voluntary sector. All with an active interest in or responsibility for Sligo's heritage.
The Heritage Act, 1995 states that the national heritage includes: monuments, archaeological objects, heritage objects, architectural heritage, flora, fauna, wildlife habitats, landscapes, seascapes, wrecks, geology, heritage gardens and parks and inland waterways.
We want to know the aspects of Sligo’s Heritage that you value and want to see celebrated and conserved. We are seeking your input in setting the priorities for Sligo’s Heritage Plan by completing the survey below on or before Friday 31st March 2023.
Information gathered during the pre-draft consultation process will contribute to the development of a new Heritage Plan for County Sligo and will assist in prioritising areas for heritage action in Sligo up to 2027.

By attending one of the pre- draft information and consultation sessions in person or online:
Sligo Park Hotel – Wednesday 15th March 2023 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Online meeting - Tuesday 21st March 2023 1:00pm – 2:00pm.
Online meeting - Tuesday 28th March 2023 1:00pm – 2:00pm

Written submissions
