N17 Tubbercurry Road Safety Improvement Scheme

In accordance with the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 and Section 46 of the Public Transport Regulation Act, 2009, having considered the submissions made during public consultation, Sligo County Council hereby gives notice of its decision to implement Traffic Calming Measures at the following locations for the N17 Tubbercurry Road Safety Improvement Scheme without modifications.
On the N17 National Primary Route between its junctions with the L-82095 and L-82099 local roads (Springvale and Parklands estates)
On the N17 National Primary Route near Supervalu, where the existing crossing will be changed to a raised crossing
A Post Consultation Report is provided with this notice.
The proposed Road Safety Improvement Scheme will provide a new controlled pedestrian crossing on the N17 near Springvale and Parklands estates and will provide an improvement to the existing crossing located on the N17 near Supervalu. This will benefit vulnerable road users crossing the national primary route.
