PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT

NOTICE UNDER THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS 2001, PART 8 (ARTICLE 81) (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that Sligo County Council proposes to carry out works consisting of:

The construction of 12 no. 1 and 2 storey dwellings comprising of 4 two-bedroom apartments, 1 two- bedroom house, 6 three-bedroom houses, and 1 four-bedroom house together with all associated site works, including site access, site boundaries, drainage, associated earthworks, roadworks, Public Open Space, utilities and services connections and car parking. All associated landscaping and site development works are included.

The subject site is located at Harte’s Court (Cúirt Uí Airt), Grange Townland, Grange, Co.Sligo.

Sligo County Council, as the competent authority, has carried out an Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening Report and has determined that a Stage 2 Appropriate Assessment is not required in respect of this proposed development.

Sligo County Council has carried out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Screening and has determined that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and has determined that an EIAR is not required in respect of this proposed development.

Plans and full particulars of the proposed development are available for inspection, or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, online at consult.sligococo.ie or, during office hours at the Main Foyer, County Hall, Riverside, Sligo, from Wednesday 21st January 2026 up to and including Thursday 19th February 2026 (both dates inclusive).

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made on-line by registering on the consult.sligococo.ie portal or in writing and submitted to the undersigned not later than 4.pm on Thursday 5th March 2026.

 

 

 

All submissions (including the names of those making submissions) received in relation to this consultation will be published on the consult.sligococo.ie portal and will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented at a meeting of the elected members. Accordingly, they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain.
