N15 GRANGE ACTIVE TRAVEL SCHEME

Background / Scheme Overview

Sligo County Council has recently commenced an Active Travel Scheme within the speed limits of Grange Village along the N15. This project is currently in the early stages of development and is intended to identify locations where existing walking and cycling facilities are deficient, and to examine feasible interventions to improve connectivity and safety for all road users.

The overall objective is to:

  • Enhance walking and cycling links within the village
  • Improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists
  • Support healthier, low-carbon travel choices for residents, school users and visitors

At this stage the feedback received during the consultation will be used to identify key constraints and opportunities and help shape the developing design.
